Summary: Scientists of cinema can't seem to get it through their heads that their ambitions will only end up blowing up in their faces for the most part. But poor Andre Delambre just couldn't help himself. Honestly, we're not sure if his little teleportation project would have worked with or without that pesky fly.

History: Andre was living the perfect 50's American lifestyle…in Canada. Specifically, Quebec. With his loving wife and son providing support, he hoped to develop a new and improved method of transportation: teleporters! Or as he called it, the Disintegrator-Integrator. Unfortunately, every experiment ended with at least one thing going wrong (a cat disappearing into the infinite dimensions, an ashtray getting warped, etc.). But Andre didn't care. After a few tweaks, he decided to test it on himself. Alas, yet another error occurred, except this one cost the man dearly. A white-headed fly had entered the teleportation chamber Andre was in, and when the machine was activated, the fly and Andre swapped body parts, leaving the latter with a fly's arm and head. Desperate for a reversal, Andre urged his family to find the white-head fly before his sanity deteriorated.

Final Fate: When Andre's family proves unsuccessful finding the white-head fly, he ultimately gives up. His wife reluctantly activates a hydraulic press to crush his head and arm, destroying all evidence of his existence. However, the white-head fly is eventually found afterwards with Andre's bald head and his other arm, and in a spider's web. Before the spider can eat him, they are both crushed with a rock out of mercy.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-Honestly, it's easier to pity this poor mutant than be afraid of him. Sure, the fly parts are grotesque, but like us, he doesn't want to hurt anyone. And the moment he slips, he ends it all before anyone gets hurt. Ouch.

Trivia: -This film was actually based on a short story of the same name. It is considerably darker than the film itself.

-To this day, scientists are still trying to figure out teleportation as a reality, though they agree that a more likely scenario is the transport of energy and particles rather than a great whole.
